West Des Moines
CNN Money Magazine's list of America's best small cities of 2012 West Des Moines, IA was voted #82 out of 100!
"West Des Moines, Iowa has a population of 58,300. It may be one of the wealthiest cities in Iowa, but its real estate is surpisingly affordable -- the median cost of a home is $165,000. Though people pour into town by day to work at major firms like Hy-Vee and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, at night West Des Moines has one of the lowest population densities of the places on the list. With most housing occupying a third of an acre, it's a good place to live if you like to spread out. - L.M." -CNN Money Magazine (http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/best-places/2012/snapshots/PL1983910.html)
